hi. this is for mister Matt Meister. Hi, I am from the 6th grade class of Divine Redeemer. I was the one who asked what your favorite color was. I would just like to say that when the shot of us was shown on t.v. i was not in it. I was the ONLY one not in the shot. I was very sad.

Paige,
I’m so sorry! I did not get to see the video after it was edited and I wasn’t aware you weren’t in it. Email me a picture and I’ll post it here for all to see! Have a good weekend.

Wondering what the prediction is for last frost in Colorado Springs this year. I know better than to plant too much too early and usually wait until Memorial Day to really plant. But, I have had several plants shipped in this last week and am wondering when it might be safe.
Thanks

Judy,
The system for Tuesday of next week (its still a ways off so it could change) in one computer model actually looks cold enough to produce some snow over the Palmer Divide (not sure if it would accumulate yet or not) and as that storm exits, we could get near freezing Wednesday morning. I’ve heard several rules of thumb here…one being wait until Mother’s Day to plant flowers…and another to wait another week or two until Memorial Day. The average date of last freeze in Colorado Springs is May 4th so each day that goes by is farther away from that at this point and I’d say after the mid-week system next week you’d probably be fine! Happy planting!

Thanks for the response. In Illinois, we always planted on Mother’s Day weekend. However, I have lived here for 27 years and never do major planting until Memorial Day weekend. Unless you want to buy and plant twice!

Hi guys! My daughter lives in Iowa and alerted me to a video from the Parkersburg tornado recently. If you go to kcrg.com they have footage from inside the bank during the tornado. Really wild!

Hi, was watching the weather tonight. Your rain vision forcast is so wrong. We live 26 miles east of Aguliar and it showed that we had got some moisture but we recieved nothing but wind!!!!!!!!! So if you turn the wind off and rain on it would be appreciated. On that note do u see any wetter patterns down the road… I think you all do a really good forecast

I agree. This 1/2 inch stuff is for the birds. When will the real snow begin. I was deployed to Iraq in the winter of 05-06 and my wife told me that we received a lot of snow then. What happend? I also understand that this part of the world is in the middle of a calm, that is no effects from El Nino or La Nina. Does that spell less snow and frozen precipitation for us here in Colorado Springs?

Lori,
The Colorado Springs Airport recorded a high of 56 that day…if you’re interested it snowed that night and the high on the 14th was 38. Hope it helps!

I love the neighborhood cams but am disapointed that I cannot access the outside of CS ones you show. I have a great interest in the Buena Vista and Salida ones as I have a mineing claim on Mt Antero and am itching to get there and the live or static weather would be great.

I watch the farm report on chanell 11 on sat morning because they still show the weather as you do but also overlay the front and centers realy adds to my understanding. Make yours better add the old info as it does define what you are saying.

Dick,
We’re working on getting ALL of the Neighborhood Weather Network cameras on to the website, we just acquired this latest two dozen over the last week and a half and we can’t do it all at once!
We show fronts and high/low centers in frequently because countless volumes of television news research shows that the bulk of viewers don’t care to see them. Josh will continue to walk you through FutureCast in terms of what to expect locally!
As always thanks for the comments!

I have a question, during WWII here in Colorado Spring when the weather report said the clouds were at 9,000 ft. is that at sea level Did that mean that the clouds were at 3,000 ft above the ground here.
